The DYNALIFE COST Action General Conference, hosted at Yildiz Technical University (YTU) in Istanbul, represents a pivotal event for the Grant Period 2024–2025. This conference will bring together researchers to reflect on the progress made by the Action, evaluate results achieved so far, and refine the strategic direction for the remainder of DYNALIFE.

The conference will feature an interdisciplinary program addressing DYNALIFE’s primary challenges. The thematic focus will span the following areas:

  • Theoretical Modeling of Genetic Information Flow: Advanced theoretical approaches to understanding the flow of genetic information.

  • Integration of Dynamical Systems, Machine Learning (ML), and Artificial Intelligence (AI): Bridging traditional theoretical frameworks with modern statistical and computational tools.

  • Quantum Information Models in Biology: Exploring quantum-based approaches to biological systems.

  • Statistics and Computer Science as Bridges: Connecting theoretical models with Big Data analytics to enhance biological insights.

  • Translational Biology: Applying state-of-the-art theoretical and computational models to practical, real-world biological applications.

This thematic breadth reflects the interdisciplinary nature of DYNALIFE, encouraging dialogue and collaboration across diverse fields, including theoretical biology, computational sciences, and applied translational research.

Venue

Yildiz Technical University (YTU), a prestigious institution ranked among the top 10 universities in Turkey, will host the conference on its historic Davutpasa Campus. The campus, located in the heart of Istanbul, is well-connected by metro and public transport, offering participants easy access to the venue. The site itself is notable for its historical buildings and vibrant academic atmosphere.

The choice of Istanbul as the conference venue offers several strategic advantages. Turkey hosts the largest number of DYNALIFE Action members, ensuring strong local participation and greater engagement with the regional research community. Moreover, Istanbul's rich cultural heritage and dynamic academic environment provide an inspiring backdrop for interdisciplinary dialogue and collaboration.
